Mike Azbill, CCM
General Manager

Mike has been in the Private Club industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in managing multi use year round clubs and in club renovations. He achieved his Certified Club Manager status in 2001.

Before joining the team at Indian Trail Club in 2007, he was the General Manager at the Mayfield Sand Ridge Club in Cleveland, Ohio; a full service family country club with tennis, swimming, golf, paddle, curling, fitness and social activities. There he oversaw a 2.4 million pool and clubhouse renovation and was the transition leader in the merger of two clubs.

Before relocating to Ohio , Mike was the General Manager at the Woodstock Club in Indianapolis , Indiana ; also full service family country club with tennis, swimming, golf, paddle and social activities. There he oversaw a 6.8 million pool and clubhouse renovation.

Mike is and active member of the Club Manager’s Association of America. He has served as a Director and President on the local and regional levels in Ohio and is a prospective member of the New Jersey chapter. Mike is also a member of the CMAA International Wine Society.


Debbie Pagerie
Clubhouse Manager

Debbie began her career at Indian Trail Club as a server in 1984. Debbie was soon promoted to head server and shortly there after to maitre d’. After years of dedication and devotion she was promoted to Assistant Manager in 1998 and finally to Clubhouse Manager in 2000. With her warm and friendly personality she helps customers prepare for and plan their special events. Debbie is also responsible for supervising the entire wait staff, helping in planning numerous member functions and making sure events run smoothly.
 
Debbie holds memberships in the New Jersey Club Managers Association and the Club Managers Association of America. She is a member of the New Jersey Chapter Board and a representative for the CMAA International Wine Society. She continues her education attending regular seminars with the NJCMA and attended the CMAA, Business Management Institute I in 2001 and II in 2003.


Rosemary Panno
Controller

Rosemary has been with the Indian Trail Club since 1976, where she began as an office assistant. After receiving her BS in Accounting/Finance from the Ramapo College of New Jersey, she became the Club’s Controller, a position she has held for many years.
 
She holds membership in the Hospitality Financial Technology Professionals Association (HFTP). Rosemary was the New Jersey Chapter President from 1994 to 1996 and served as National Director from 1997 to 2000. She continues her education attending seminars with the HFTP. She is also affiliated with the New Jersey Club Managers Association.


Jeffrey Habley, CEC
Executive Chef

Jeff is a 1989 Dean’s List Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Chef Habley has also earned an Associates Degree from Middlesex County College in Hotel, Restaurant and Management Food Service. Jeff began working in the food service industry in the front of the house in the late seventies, shortly there after moving to the back of the house. He performed his Culinary Internship with the Sands Hotel, Casino & Country Club. He then went onto various hotels, restaurants and country clubs throughout New Jersey as Garde Manger, Line Cook, Kitchen Manager, and Roundsman. Jeff finally fulfilled his goal as an Executive Chef, at the Indian Trail Club. Jeff has been on our staff since 1989.
 
He earned his Certified Executive Chef status in 1997, becoming one of only five CEC’s in the Club industry, in the state of New Jersey. Throughout his career Jeff has earned various awards from the International Geneva Association and the Salon of Culinary Arts. Chef Habley recently re-newed his Certified Executive Chef status in May of 2002 and continues to further his education with classes and seminars at the Culinary Institute of America. Jeff holds membership in the American Culinary Federation.


Michael Flynn
Sous Chef

Michael joined our staff in the spring of 2003. He began his career in the Boston area working as a Banquet Chef in the club industry, then on to Executive Baker in a pastry shop. He moved on to the Washington D.C. area to further his career as a Sous Chef. From country clubs, to restaurants, to resorts, Mike has gained a broad range of experience. Working with our Executive Chef he has brought new perspectives and fresh ideas to our club. Michael attended the Culinary Arts program at Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts, one of the largest colleges in the state’s community college system.


Elaine Gudanowski
Newsletter, Website, Accounting Office
 
Elaine has been with Indian Trail Club since 1986. She began as a camp counselor during the summer and manned the coat-check in the winter. She then moved up to working part-time in the office, while still in school. After graduation she became a full-time employee in the office where she handles receivables, the club website and e-news, marketing and advertisement, assists with payroll, and various office duties.
 
Elaine is the editor and designer of the Smoke Signals newsletter. She also designs newsletters for the New Jersey Club Managers Association and the Mid-Jersey Chapter of the Hospitality Financial Technology Professionals Association.

Lucy Moure
Director of Racquet Sports

A former member of the national junior and woman’s team in her native Uruguay, Lucy has been teaching since the mid 1970's. She joined us here at Indian Trail Club in 1990, where she created the Pee Wees program. In the off season, Lucy coordinates all of the platform tennis activities at the club. She also continues working with Indian Trail Club juniors at the Waldwick Covered Courts and remains very active in local church and community organizations. Lucy holds certification from the USPTA, USPTR, USRSA.


Chris Widney
Head Tennis Professional

A
New York City native, Chris attended Fordham University on a full tennis and squash scholarship. He has been teaching both sports since the mid-1980's and has been with Indian Trail Club since 1990. During the off season, Chris is the Head Squash Professional at the Printing House Racquet Club in Manhattan as well as a published author and produced playwright. He is a certified member of the USPTA.


Laurent Lafontant
Head Tennis Professional

Formerly one of the top ranked juniors in France, Laurent has played in professional tournaments around the world. He has been teaching since 1989 and has worked with some of the top players in Florida. Laurent has been with Indian Trail Club since 1997. During the winter season he continues coaching many of our players at the Fair Lawn and Mountain Lakes Racquet Clubs. He is certified by the USPTA and USPTR.


Christopher Bell
Competitive Aquatics Director
 
Chris begins his fourth year as Competitive Aquatics Director and Head Swim Coach. This is his fifth year on the staff at the club. Last season, the team swam to an 8-3 record, a Western Division Championship in the Ramapo Hills Swim Conference, 2nd place finish in the dual meet season for the Bergen County Country Club League and a 3rd place finish in the BCCCL Championship and Relay meets. His coaching record while at the club is 26-7-1. While leading the program, the team has grown from around 90 swimmers to over 170 participants.  He is the only coach in Ramapo Hills Swim Conference history to win multiple championships with two different teams. Chris is also the President of the Bergen County Country Club League. During the school year, he is a Second Grade Teacher in the Kinnelon School District .

Throughout his coaching career, he has served as Assistant Head Coach at Pequannock from 1995-2000 before taking over as Head Coach for two years ending in 2002. During his tenure as Assistant and Head Coach, Pequannock’s record was an undefeated 84-0, including 14 League Championships and a team record 124 swimmers qualifying for the “A” Championships in 2002. While attending school at William Paterson, he was an Assistant Coach at Pioneer Aquatic Club before graduating with a B.A. in History. He also was the Assistant Senior Group Coach serving under legendary coach Bud Rimbault at the Ridgewood YMCA from 2005 - 2006.

Chris brings a number of credentials to the Indian Trail coaching staff including a NJ Elementary Teacher Standard License, USA , YMCA, and NJ Swimming Coach certification, Water Safety for Coaches certification, CPR and First Aid certification. He is also classified in the top 15% of all American Swim Coaches to be certified as a Level 3 Coach through the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA). He has completed 30 graduate credits towards an M.A. in Teaching at William Paterson and is currently attaining his Master’s Degree in Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University .


Alisha DeLorenzo
Junor Sports Camp Director

Alisha will be returning this summer for her fifth season as our Camp Director.  She has been with the Indian Trail Club since 2000, where she started as bartender and banquet staff.  In the summer of 2001, she took on the role of Sports Director and was promoted to Camp Director in 2003.

In the off season Alisha is teacher.  From 2002-2006, she taught and coached at Franklin Avenue Middle School in Franklin Lakes.  Having left to relocate to Monmouth County, she is currently teaching high school Health and Physical Education in Asbury Park.  She holds certification in First Aid and CPR.
